Gordon C. Woodruff:

Gordon C. Woodruff, a Johnston County native, graduated in 1973 from the University of North Carolina where he was a Morehead Scholar.  He then went to Wake Forest University School of Law where he was a member of the Law Review and graduated in 1976.  Following a clerkship for the Honorable Naomi A. Morris at the North Carolina Court of Appeals, he began his legal practice in Goldsboro.  He returned to Johnston County in 1981 where he has continually practiced since.  He is a DRC certified mediator and has conducted over one hundred mediations. 

 

 

Mr. Woodruff is Past President of the Johnston County Bar Association and Past President of the  Eleventh Judicial District Bar.  He is a past member and Chair of the Johnston County Board of Education, and he is a current member and Chair of the Johnston County Board of Elections on which he has served for twenty years.  He is a member of the Board of Directors of KS Bank on which he has served for twenty years and currently serves as its Vice Chair.  He has been rated by his peers as “AV Preeminent” for Legal Ability and Ethical Standards continuously since 1996.
